Atwater Beer Buzz September 5

Greetings all! 

A brief update this week, as we prepare for our Sip, Savor & Brew Weekend with the Colorado Brewers Guild this Friday & Saturday! There are spaces still available for the weekend experience without lodging, which is $69++/person. I’ve attached the flyer about the whole weekend, including schedule…and the Small Plates & Craft Beer Pairing menu.

Please remember that you can join us for the Meet the Brewmaster session on Friday afternoon from 4–7pm at no charge, and that you can attend the Small Plates & Craft Beer Pairing event on Saturday evening at 6pm a la carte as well. It’s $25++/person for a four course guided tour by the Brewmasters and the Atwater Culinary Team through the following menu:

Wednesday Tastings continue to be a delicious and social way to take a break in the week, and thanks to Kelly Garoutte for her delicious Deschutes offerings this afternoon. They were very well-received by a steady stream of guests and locals over the two hours, and it would be tough to pick a favorite from the feedback. The Deschutes River Ale got terrific reviews, but the Chainbreaker gets the IPA vote plus some of the ‘I don’t usually like IPAs’ drinkers, and the Black Butte Porter impressed and converted people across the board. 

Next Wednesday’s host for the Wednesday Craft Beer Tasting is Lucas Allen from Oskar Blues Brewing Co. Join us in Fireside from 4:30 – 6:30pm for complimentary samples of Oskar Blues products and welcome Lucas to his new territory up here! We’re still offering 20% off Small Plates during that time period as well to complete your afternoon treat. 

New on the craft beer list this week are:

  • Odell Celestrina Saison, Ft. Collins, CO (lg format)

Our Flights and Bites daily feature from 3 – 6pm, is continuing to rotate with this (quite) slow draft selection change. Right now there’s an awful lots of amber-ish styles in there, but there are still two more handles to convert:

  • Samuel Adams Octoberfest
  • Great Divide Rumble IPA
  • Mendocino Eye of the Hawk
  • Ohara’s Irish Stout
