While the end of the ski season may be drawing near, the fun is just beginning in Vail! Be part of the  biggest end of season bash in the Rocky Mountains. The World Pond Skimming Championships presented by Red Bull return to Vail Mountain’s Golden Peak base area for the 12th year on Sunday, April 20. Skimmers from far and wide will gather in Vail to test their buoyancy on Lake Golden Peak for the chance at the title of 2014 World Pond Skimming Champion. It is guaranteed to be a wet, wild and wacky good time for participants and spectators alike. Closing day entertainment in Vail also includes a free concert from Steel Pulse at Solaris in Vail Village at 4 p.m.

You made it to Vail and we are excited you're staying at the Vail Cascade Resort! As our guest, we invite you to dine in Atwater on Gore Creek April 19 & 20th for our first 'Put a Fork in Hunger' eat-to-feed fundraising campaign. During that weekend, 10 percent from each guest's dinner bill will be donated to Food Bank of the Rockies to restock their local pantry. It's an easy way to unwind, dine and donate in one sitting!
