Nominated associates consistently perform to the highest level of excellence and go out of their way to make our guests feel welcome. These are people who never do just the minimum. This year, Vail Cascade recognizes the following associates who are winners and nominees of the Stars of the Industry Award.

Vail Cascade would like to recognize the following associates that are WINNERS of the Stars of the Industry Award:

Lorinda Arpin  - Executive Offices
This is Lorinda’s second time as an award recipient! Clearly respected as an opinion leader, she has the maturity to understand the mission and the needed steps that carry us to success. Her broad vision and business acumen leads her to comments and insight that compliment the teams perspective and help insure we get to "the best right answer" quickly and efficiently. In addition to being a true professional in every sense of the word, she takes time for herself and others. "Guests are touched by Lorinda's hospitality." She will wear any hat necessary to accommodate guest or associates, always with a smile and to full completion. Lorinda takes ownership and will not leave the resort until she has met all expectations.

Laura Lodge – Atwater Craft Beer Initiative
When our General Manager announced that the new focus for our business was to be a strong commitment to INNOVATION, Laura took that to heart and met with him and our Director of Food & Beverage with a proposal to make Vail Cascade, the ”Home of Craft Beers” in the Vail Valley.  She had put together a business plan that included weekly Craft Beer Seminars and Tastings, Beer Pairings for our bar and restaurant menus and Beer Dinners including the marketing of the program.  Laura is a self-starter who is personally committed to training and communicating and helping others know more about craft beer and help them to better service guests traveling to the Vail Valley.  She continually takes the initiative to create new marketing and training tools as well as programs to educate our team and guests on the pleasures of craft beer.  We could also call her our “Sommelier of Beer”!

Dawn King – Aria Spa
Her approach with each client has undertones of grace and compassion and she is very proud and passionate to be an associate of the Vail Cascade Resort. She takes her position as Lead Esthetician very seriously.  She has set the bar for cleanliness, professional appearance, and client retail sales. Dawn in many upper echelon circles has been whispered the “IT” esthetician in the Vail Valley.  She is referred to by word of mouth by many exclusive and worldly clients.  She is in constant high demand and draws clientele who have existing memberships at other local resort wellness centers. Dawn’s passion for excellence and ability to create long lasting relationships continually places the our Colorado mountain Aria Spa at the top of the charts.
