Vail Cascade Resort tops Travel + Leisure’s “Best in the World” list!

Resort named on prestigious list this week~

Vail Cascade Resort won the coveted position of 20th place on Travel + Leisure’s “World’s Best Family Resorts” list, announced today.  Among the key characteristics noted in the award included the property’s 78,000 square foot fitness and spa facility, the largest in the area.  Another highlight listed by Travel + Leisure was the location of a Vail ski mountain chairlift on the property, making the Vail Cascade Resort one of only a few lodging options in Vail that is truly ski-in, ski-out.

Travel + Leisure began today’s announcement by stating, “Don’t travel with kids until you check out our list,” emphasizing a long tradition of Vail being well-known as a superb spot for family vacations.  Readers of the publication submitted votes to determine their favorite locations earlier this year, including a category for “family inviting”.  Vail Cascade Resort demonstrates a commitment to being family oriented, according to resort spokesperson Kirsten Texler:

“Very few resorts have been able to replicate the Vail Cascade family environment without sacrificing the relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere that draws couples and individuals to the resort.  Multiple generations of families and friends enjoy specially created on-property events including Cascade Christmas, SpringFest and Summer Solstice.  It is a true destination for all-season adventure.”

General Manager Brett Schoenfield elaborated his enthusiasm regarding the announcement by saying, “I am honored beyond words that our guests have recognized the efforts put forth by the team to ensure the comfort and overall positive experience they encounter at Vail Cascade.  I am extremely proud of the team and the work that has been done to ensure memorable experiences for the families that stay with us throughout the year, and I am profoundly grateful to the readers of Travel + Leisure that responded so positively on our behalf.”

Signature property activities include free poolside snow cones, remote controlled boat races in the infinity pool, fireside s’mores enjoyed in comfortable wooden rocking chairs and the enjoyment of the creek side location on picturesque Gore Creek, featuring gold-medal fly fishing.  Other property attributes include award winning restaurant Atwater on Gore Creek and aforementioned Aria Club & Spa, featuring numerous fitness programs and a multitude of signature spa treatments.  Adding to the ease of ski mountain access is the property’s Market Café with both ready-made and quick-order items to fuel the visitor’s day.
